The fish has long been a symbol of Christ and of Christ’s blessings on the world. Fish were fed to the masses and eaten by Christ and His disciples after His resurrection. The representation of a fish holds for many Christians, a profession of faith in the divinity and is often a symbol of the challenge Christ put to his followers: “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”. In many religions of the world, the fish is also a symbol of prosperity.
